This is becoming a common problem amidst the Covid19 pandemic. We are seeing more patients coming into the clinic experiencing back pain from their at home work station. Many, unfortunately, do not have their set up with the correct ergonomics. Mix this with poor posture and lack of stability in the surrounding muscles and it can create pain throughout the spine. The majority of pain comes in the cervical (upper) or lumbar (lower) part of the spine. It makes it difficult to get through an entire work day, let alone complete your daily activities such as working out, caring for you kids, mowing the lawn, etc. What are the next steps if working from home is in the foreseeable future? Is there a way to get rid of the back pain and come up with a good setup that prevents it from returning?
